Promise to Care Campaign

Scottish Rite Foundation of Colorado

Fund Raising Goal: $200,000

  1. Beginning in 2003 scholarships have been provided annually to second-year Master's Degree-level students in speech-language pathology at Colorado universities offering this education — University of Colorado—Boulder and University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.

  2. Forty-six (46) students have received scholarships through 2014 totaling $230,000. The Foundation's scholarship is a one-time $5,000 award. The Foundation has awarded four scholarships annually in recent years.

  3. With fundraising support of $200,000, an additional two $5,000 scholarships would be awarded each year, financially assisting aspiring speech-language pathologists with their educational expenses.

    Four scholarships $20,000 $20,000 $0 $0

    1. This component adds no additional obligations on the Foundation's current financial resources. The increase in scholarships will be funded by support of Scottish Rite Masons and friends of the Foundation.

    2. Current scholarships (the four) are paid out of a temporarily restricted fund totaling $133,386 generated from the 2005 fundraising campaign. This provides resources for at least six years of additional scholarship expenditures at the current award level.

    3. The campaign goal will provide an additional $200,000 of temporarily (or permanently) restricted funds to provide support for an additional two scholarships.
