2022 Summer RiteView and Updates

2022_Summer_RiteView

This has been a big year of updates. The Scottish Rite Foundation website has gotten a full make over. Metro State University has begun a RiteCare Treasure Chest Program. Ellis Miller, a new 32° brother in the Grand Junction Valley, joined our scholarship review team. A new appraisal committee has been created for our RiteCare Partner, Memorial Regional Health in Craig Colorado. Brother Mike Brewer, 32° KCCH, completed his first year of service on the Board of Trustees. And to the great benefit of the children of Colorado, our RiteCare partners have been able to return to near normal service as we all begin to adjust to the COVID world.

Part of the adjustments and benefits of having worked through the pandemic has been the creative problem solving all of us have done. Children’s Hospital Colorado, which serves so many children in Colorado and our neighboring states, pivoted to telepractice in many instances and developed programs to assist children remotely. One of those amazing programs has been the creation of video supplements to the Talking with Technology Camp and First Steps Camp which are supported by a generous grant from the Kelley Family Foundation.

Currently there are ten instructional videos on the Children’s Hospital Colorado Speech-Language Therapy web page. If you scroll down to the AAC treatment and support section, there is a link “Videos to help improve communication with an AAC user” which will expand to the list of videos.

The on going work of all our partners is making a big difference in the lives of all Coloradans, but more especially the children of Colorado.
